Handwoven Sabutan Fedora

Lightweight and breathable, this fedora is handwoven in the Philippines from sabutan fiber and finished with a natural abaca cord. A soft cotton lining adds comfort for sunny outings and everyday wear.

About the artisans: The hat comes through a Filipino fair trade organization founded in 1966 to create livelihood opportunities for women and young people in underserved communities. Today, it helps about 70 small artisan workshops bring their crafts to market and provides employment for more than 1,000 people. Artisans can also access educational seminars, vocational training, and financial and medical assistance. The organization is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization.
